Tips For Journaling

Keeping a journal can be a daunting prospect but it really doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are a few tips to get you started.

– Start off small. When you first start writing in your journal be realistic. Don’t force yourself to write pages and pages every morning you will soon get stuck. Writing a small amount is fine at first as long as you write regularly you will soon form the habit.

– Try to write at the same time every day. It doesn’t have to be morning although I do find it to be great start to the day. As long as you are consistent.

– Find somewhere comfortable and peaceful to write. You will find it much easier to stick to the habit if you write somewhere you enjoy being.

– Remove all distractions. Make sure you are away from your phone, tablet, laptop, and tv then you can completely focus on your writing.

– Don’t think too much before you start your journal. You don’t need a lot of preparation or fancy equipment. All you need is a blank journal or notebook, and a pen.
